About Moneecia’s Kitchen
She was motivated by her grandfather, who was a short-order cook in the city of Chicago, and receiving inspiration from her grandmother, who at a young age introduced Moneecia to enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning surrounded by love and the aromas of delicious food being prepared in her kitchen.

These experiences exposed Moneecia to the love of cooking and the passion for seasoning and flavors. The dream of owning a kitchen and perfecting her own delicious recipes, that she could share with family and friends, began.
Now Moneecia, a proud daughter of the Alsberry family has finally found the perfect community to facilitate her vision.
Originally from IL and following the ancestral legacy of leadership (Moneecia’s father is the successful and current Mayor of Hazel Crest), she can now bring her passion and motivation to a restaurant in Cottage Grove, WI.
Coming from two generations of chefs you can now enjoy a menu unique as her name, “Moneecia”!
With a wide range of perfected dishes including Jamaican-flavored cuisine such as oxtails, rice with pea’s, jerk chicken with callaloo and fried dumplings, all inspired by her loving husband O’Shane and her mother-in-law Andrina. Moneecia’s Kitchen is sure to offer a selection of meals for every occasion and taste.
From her mouthwatering twice battered, deep fried juicy pork chops to the exciting and always changing taste of the “Shenanigans Dinners” and the fresh made side dishes, all the food served at Moneecia’s is made with her lifelong passion and experience.
